In February 2026, the second cohort began, welcoming three girls aged 13–15 who study English at English House in Yerevan. They are currently undertaking a writing course with Harbingers’ Magazine, attending weekly classes focused on reporting skills, storytelling and editorial standards, while building confidence and developing their voices as young writers.
Harbingers’ Magazine launched its Armenian newsroom in May 2024.
The first cohort brought together teenage girls aged 16–17 who had been displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) to Armenia. Through journalism training and mentorship, the programme created a space for young writers to develop their voices, process lived experience and contribute to international conversations.
The course is led by Harbingers’ Project Editor-in-Chief, Tatev Hovhannisyan.
